Solar energy makes sense in a good many part of or regions of our nation. The Sun is an ongoing and constant source of energy, and if we don’t use it we lose it, that’s just the way it is. It’s one of the greatest gifts we could ever ask for and it runs 24 hours a day 365 days a year. And the sun shines on your half of the planet, on average 8-12 hours a day.
In the book “Who Owns the Sun” the first several large chapters discuss our nation’s push for solar water heaters, and what a wonderful way to save energy it is. Perhaps, the Aztecs were not nearly as primitive as some might have suggested. Of course, if their 2012 calendar ending date comes to pass, we are all going to be sorry we hadn’t considered all this.
The problem with going to more solar energy is the same problem we have in every industry, excessive lawsuits, and too many lawyers. Yes, it is the same problem we have in our health care system which is running our costs through the roof, and speaking of roofs, every roof on have solar panels. Back to the solar water heating benefits; When the water comes from underground in pipes it is generally about 55 degrees, and as we know it takes a lot of energy to heat a gallon of water even 1 degree.
This is why everyone should have a solar water heating system that at least gets the water pretty warm, and from there it will take as much energy to get really hot. Many make the water so hot, it nearly boils. What a great way to save energy, you say?
There’s only one problem with this, and again it has to do with lawyers. The Excessive Mold Lawsuits in the United States have put many apartment complex owners, home builders, and landlords out of business and it has forced them into bankruptcy.
The first thing we have to do is to get rid of all the lawyers in that industry, if we want more companies to install solar water heaters in our homes and buildings and that will lower the price for the consumers who wish to have them. Please consider all this, and thank you for thinking.
