climate change theory

Do you think that part of the reason people don’t want to acknowledge climate change theory is?
The moral responsibilities that come with the recognition that humans are in fact partly responsible?
that and the thought of having to exercise a little self-control. many americans are too pig-headed and would cite it as a violation of their freedoms if they had to actually restrict their purchasing and transporation decisions
but i agree wholeheartedly. it’s our own dream we’re losing — the american frontier (not to mention it’s a global crisis). i think people today are raised to be much too anthropecentric. they don’t see nature as having inherent value — they only see it as a commodity (what they can make from it, usually $$, and how can they enjoy it, usually resorts). i for one think it has a right to exist in and of itself. aside from the bad things to come if we squander it — our planet is absolutely amazing and it saddens me to see how destructive and dirty the human race is
