Do any of the commonly advertised DIY PV solar panels work? Many claim for $200.00. you can make one.?
My husband and I would like to build a solar panel (PV) on our small farm to learn the basics. We don’t want to pay thousands of dollars to buy a panel that may be obsolete in a few years. The homemade versions sound to good to be true. Are they just scams?
This is generally considered a scam site according to the links below.
No address/phone number.
No response to emails.
They recruit affiliates, in a pyramid-like scheme.

Just being logical, if it really worked, why would they need to recruit affiliates? And if someone could make a panel at home for $200, with modern manufacturing techniques, wouldn’t a commercial one be about the same price?
If you do decide to go for it, be sure to use a real credit card for the purchase, so you can pull back the funds through your credit card company if not satisfied. Reviews on sites that are independent of the product assert that these companies do not honor their guarantees.
