what is the least expensive way to get solar energy for my home and pool?
It seems logical (not really having a product to recommend) that some sort of special thermal cover that unrolls along both sides of the pool to cover it totally at night would be one option. Also, when you weren’t using the pool in the day time, the cover would be designed to let the sunlight shine through onto the pool water beneath it and be converted to long wavelength infrared heat waves, which cannot then easily escape back into the air above the cover.
Then you could take the water that circulates through the pool pump and run it through a heat exchanger radiator inserted into your hot air furnace to help heat your home in the winter or cool it in the summer, just like a conventional heat pump does.
