· Basically, the storage tank should be well insulated so that it can properly store the water and supply it to the user at the time of use.
· Many a time, it is seen that the solar hot water heater is having two storage tanks. This is to store the heated water and further heat it.
· Solar panels are to be connected so that the batteries are charged properly.
Importance of back-up system
Back up is very important if you have a solar water heater. This does not mean that these are inefficient. But it is required, because it works by using solar energy. The sun might not be clear in the sky or there may be clouds. For those days back up is very important.
