Where do I look to see if something is an antique or worth anything?
I have a small merry-go-round type of thing. it is on a wood base about 5″ square, under a 4 1/2″ square plexiglas type of box.
The Merry-go-round itself id a wire frame with 3 horses and people on the horses. It has a small electric motor hooked up to a solar panel in the middle. There is a round sticker on 1 side with a picture of a sun in the middle and the words “SOLAR = E” on the top and “SOLAR ENERGY” on the bottom. On the bottom of this piece is a sticker that reads “Assembled in U.S.A. by Aldermaston Sales P.O. Box 34 Locust Valley, N.Y. 11560″
Sorry, but anything using SOLAR ENERGY probably is NOT an antique. To qualify as an antique, an item has to be at least 50 years old.
